Events

Kettering Sister Cities hosts two signature events each year.

Spass Nacht – June 15, 2022

The Kettering Sister Cities Association hosts “Spass Nacht – An Austrian Festival” normally on the third Wednesday in June at Lincoln Park Civic Commons.

In honor of Kettering’s sister city, Steyr, Austria, we celebrate with a Spass Nacht (translation: Fun Night). Put on your lederhosen and join us at this fun annual festival. We’ll bring the authentic food, beverages, polka music and live entertainment–you bring your family and friends to this celebration of all things Austrian. The festivities will take place throughout Lincoln Park.  This FREE EVENT is open to the public and features live polka music. This Spass Nacht will mark our 52nd anniversary with Steyr as our sister city.

Please note: glass steins and pets are not permitted in the park during this festival.  Spass Nacht steins are permitted. For more information about the Spass Nacht Austrian Festival, please visit the Fraze Pavilion website.

Pub Night- Fall 2022

The Kettering Sister Cities Association hosts “Pub Night” each fall.  Although our Sister City of Kettering, England is inactive, we will continue to stay in contact with the residents of Kettering, England and will continue to celebrate our common name and activities. This year, the Sister Cities Association will celebrate 44 years of  sister cities relationships with Kettering, England. This event will offer authentic food, door prizes, and great conversation with sister cities members from past and present.
